Vito Didonna
Vito Didonna was born in Bari and discovered photography through a deep connection to memory and storytelling. His passion has its roots in childhood, among family photo albums and the stories told by his father, who could bring atmospheres, places, and fragments of life back to life from a single image.
For him, photography is more than a tool for documentation; it is a way of preserving emotions, memories, and stories that deserve to be passed on.
A self-taught photographer, he developed his visual language through curiosity, observation, and a desire to interpret the world around him through an authentic and personal perspective.
His lens has always been drawn to people and everyday moments, seeking images that convey affection, authenticity, and humanity. In his photographs, the subject is never merely the person portrayed: each image becomes a personal testimony in which the story of the subject inevitably intertwines with that of the photographer.

Rediscovering Freedom portrays a young woman in a hijab travelling through the world. Inspired by the cliffs of Polignano a Mare, the rocky shores become symbolic lands — Latvia and Italy — connected by a calm sea and a clear sky. The work reflects a personal moment of renewed peace, freedom, and belonging, where distance is transformed into connection.
