Call for Artists

“Between Seas. Between Identities. In a Shared Dialogue.”
Collaboration between Latvia and Italy.
This exhibition explores the dialogue between two cultural landscapes — Latvia and Italy. Water serves as the central symbol and connecting element, simultaneously dividing and uniting.
The stillness of the Baltic Sea and the movement of the Mediterranean reflect two distinct identities — northern restraint and southern expression. Artists are invited to interpret this interaction, creating works that form a unified visual and emotional dialogue.
We welcome submissions of works created prior to the publication of this open call.

Artists are invited to submit works that reflect on the symbol of the cross as a universal sign in the contemporary world. The exhibition seeks personal, contemporary, and multilayered interpretations of faith, identity, transformation, suffering, hope, and spiritual experience.
Please submit your works by March 15, sending a video or photographs together with a short description (4–5 sentences) to galleriaroma53@gmail.com.
All applications will be reviewed by the curatorial team, and selected artists will be notified. Participation in the exhibition is free of charge. The exhibition will take place from March 29 to April 7.
The maximum size of each work is 1 × 1 × 1 m. Paintings, sculptures, installations, and interdisciplinary approaches are welcome.
The gallery supports aesthetically and conceptually strong artistic practices. Works should encourage reflection and dialogue while respecting the viewer and cultural diversity.
