Arvils Linde

Arvils Linde is a Latvian artist with a background in both fine arts and fashion. He holds an MA in Fine Art, along with a BA and MA in Fashion from the Art Academy of Latvia.

 

Transitioning from a career in fashion design, he has dedicated the past 9 years to the visual arts. Latvian artist specialising in illustration, painting, and sculpture. His work is influenced by thematic motifs drawn from mythology, folklore, and magic realism. Linde’s approach to figurative subjects involves a distinctive amalgamation of stylisation derived from the fashion industry, combined with classical fine art techniques and applicative painting.

 

This unique fusion reflects his ability to synthesise influences from both disciplines, contributing to the distinctive aesthetic quality of his work. His pieces are in private collections across Latvia, Estonia, Netherlands, Italy, the UK, Germany and USA.
