Going into the Sea, 2023

Acrylic on canvas

60 × 50 cm

Painting

Walking into the Sea depicts a summer morning at Cape Kolka. Entering the sea in a quiet, luminous moment where time seems to stand still, the work is deeply connected to memories shared with the artist’s sister. The light blue waters, shimmering with sunlight, evoke the Italian coastline, a places and emotions into a single landscape. It is a space between seas and identities, where water both separates and unites.
