VENETA
VENETA is a collection dedicated to the element of water. It features jewelry with clear and blue aquamarines and topazes, engraved with words about love and water in Latin and Ancient Greek. These inscriptions reference the philosophy of Thales, the first ancient Greek philosopher, who believed water to be the fundamental element of the Universe and also explored amber’s remarkable electrostatic properties.
The Latin word venetus means “the color of sea water — blue, azure,” while the name of the Veneti people traces back to the Indo-European root wen, meaning “friendly” or “beloved.” It was in Venice that the inspiration for this collection was born, yet its journey continues between the Baltic and the Mediterranean seas, as the Veneti were also among the peoples who once managed the Amber Way.
The collection now also includes jewelry featuring amber — the sunny stone carried by the “watery current.” Remarkably, amber was first mentioned by Homer in the Odyssey. The collection is presented as an installation resembling a stream of green water, carrying the jewelry like messages flowing through the arteries of the universe — symbolizing love, connection, and unification.
